Past Time
While I was stationed somewhere I would love writing letters. The letter bellow is one that i sent to my mother after I fought in the battle of Normandy.
Dear Mother,
You don't have to worry I am safe. While I was there though i learned something really important about life from seeing all those around me dying and not being able to help them all. Life is a gift we must cherish by making the smartest choices that we can and not regretting what we did but learn from what we did in the past. The paper that you've might of read about Normandy probably wasn't as informational as if someone were to be there like myself. Not only were there american troops but there also was English, French, and even Canadian. When I had a chance to meet some of them they told me about what happened to there home land and i thought of how lucky we are that we haven't been attacked. We got some of those Germans back by capturing 200,000 German troops. I'm coming home in a few days and cant wait to see you.

Back in the U.S.
When I got back in the United States I would go to a movie theater like this one
When I got back into the United States on R and R I would have to plan my time wisely because the time that they would give you would air time so if they game you 3 days and it takes 1 day to get to the U.S. than you only have 1 day to do things. I would sometimes spend time with family and friends or try to also relax and watch a movie.
Each movie had its own poster my favorite was Zorro
One of my favorite movies at the time was Zorro the masked hero. I loved the adventures that he would always have and how he would always save people that were in trouble not for money but because its the right thing to do.
